Enter a great Troyventure

The Last Privateer is a voyage into the life and mythology of a man who seemed to exist somewhere between legend and reality. To those who knew him aboard the schooner Lynx, Troy Nathaniel Ingram was never just one thing — he was "Johnny Appleseed, a jester, the Tooth Fairy, the Lost Boys, Peter Pan, Neptune, the Wizard of Oz, and Jack Sparrow, all in an instant." Equal parts dreamer, sailor, storyteller, and wanderer, he left behind an imprint impossible to categorize and even harder to forget.

Through interviews with crewmates, loved ones, and those drawn into his orbit, the film pieces together the spirit of a modern privateer whose life blurred the line between performance and authenticity. Set against the rolling decks of tall ships and the restless pull of the sea, the documentary explores themes of freedom, belonging, and the cost of living untethered to convention.

At its heart, The Last Privateer is not simply about a man, but about the enduring legends certain people leave behind — the kind that continue sailing long after they disappear over the horizon.
